The U.S. Supreme Court recently heard and will soon rule on a case that could have a huge impact on the future of Red Wolves For Christ and all the other campus ministries across the nation.
Christian Legal Society vs. Martinez pits Leo Martinez, dean and acting chancellor of the University of California Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco, against the CLS, an organization for Christians in the legal field that has chapters and several law schools across the country. Martinez has refused to recognize CLS as an official student organization, which bars the group from receiving student organization funding, from use of campus facilities, from being included in campus publications, etc. See a summary of the case here.
Close to 100 briefs have been filed in the case, which is generating a great deal of attention because of how much impact it can have on campus ministries and other similar groups. The ramifications of the ruling could be wide and deep. So remember this case in your prayers!
