Meet Our Staff

DIRECTOR

Chris Buxton has been WOLFLIFE Director since January of 2010. For 11 years before that, he was director of the Church of Christ Student Center at Arkansas Tech University in Russellville. Before campus ministry, Chris worked in print journalism and public relations. He has a passion for teaching and mentoring college students and is excited to be working at his alma mater and being able to cheer for the Red Wolves! Chris has been married to Monica, the WOLFLIFE Office Manager, since 1997, and they have one daughter, Emma, a fourth grader. He has a bachelor's degree in journalism from ASU and a Master of Divinity degree from Harding School of Theology. Chris loves to ride his 4-wheeler, build things with wood, hunt ducks, read, and watch Red Wolves football and basketball. But his absolute most favorite thing to do is spend time at home with Monica and Emma! He hates washing his truck but is very committed to a clean windshield.

OFFICE MANAGER

Monica Buxton is the wife of the WOLFLIFE Director, Chris Buxton. She has been with WOLFLIFE since January of 2010. Monica has many years of experience in office management, customer service, and bookkeeping in various businesses. Most recently, she home-schooled their daughter, Emma. Monica holds a Bachelor of Business degree from the University of Central Arkansas.

APPRENTICE

Cole Van Horn, a native of Mount Ida, Arkansas, graduated in May of 2011 with a bachelor's degree in history from Arkansas Tech University in Russellville. It was at ATU that Cole got to know Chris and Monica Buxton, which is how he landed at WOLFLIFE. Although trained in history, Cole's ultimate goal is to serve in ministry, so he is spending two years with WOLFLIFE learning, leading, and serving. He is also pursuing a Master of Ministry degree from Harding University.
