Our Regular Events

Here are a few of the things we do...

WEEKLY

9:01...is an interactive, in-depth, college student Bible study at Southwest Church of Christ every Sunday morning at...you guessed it...9:01 a.m. The college classroom is upstairs in the church's Better Life Center.

WOLFeed...is free and it's lunch! What more do we need to say? Served every Tuesday from 11:30 to 1 p.m. during the school year at the WOLFLIFE Center, Wolf Feed is home-cooked yummy-ness provided by different churches in the area. It's a great time to take a break from class, enjoy a great meal, and hang out with some loving, friendly people. It's come-and-go, and any ASU student is more than welcome to come!  Click here to see some WOLFeed pics!

L.I.F.T. (Life Intersects Faith Tonight!)...is our main gathering each week. LIFT sometimes includes games, ice breakers, or music, but the main focus of LIFT is in-depth Bible study with an emphasis on college student life. LIFT is held on Wednesday nights at 6:30 p.m. in the ASU Student Union (see the calendar for specific week-to-week locations). Click here to see some LIFT pics!

MONTHLY/SEASONAL

PRAYER GROUPS...are designed to give students a chance to get together and talk about life, share struggles, and to pray with and for each other. Times and locations vary.

COMMUNION SERVICE...is a campus-wide event at which we eat the Lord's Supper together and enjoy a time of intimate praise and worship. Everybody's welcome! They're held on Sunday nights, usually at 9 p.m., but time and location sometimes changes, so watch our calendar.

SPORTS WOLFLIFE STYLE...could mean ultimate frisbee at the old track, dodgeball or wiffleball at Southwest Church's gym, or just some ping-ping or Wii at the WOLFLIFE Center. At least one Monday night a month is dedicated to fun stuff like that! Here are some wiffleball pics or here for some sweet dodgeball action!

RETREATS...are times when we get away from campus as a group to a camp or park to reconnect with God and each other. Our main retreat each year is our Fall Retreat, held each September at places like Camp Wyldewood near Searcy and Camp Tahkodah near Floral, AR. We also attend a retreat each winter with a lot of other campus ministries in the state and region, and toward the end of each spring semester, we hold a Planning Retreat to get ready for the next school year. Click here to see some pics from the 2011 Fall Retreat!

TRIPS...take us to places close by--like Little Rock or Memphis--and places a litle further away, just for fun or to serve. One of our biggest trips of the year is to Panama City, FL, for the Gulf Coast Getaway, a Christian gathering of about 2,000 college students from across the Southern U.S.

COFFEEHOUSES...gives coffee drinking a higher purpose! Held on a Thursday night once a month during the school year, Coffeehouse is when we sell coffee to benefit one of the charities that we love and believe in. We also usually have snacks and live music. Watch the calendar for the next one!  Here are some coffeehouse pics!

SERVICE PROJECTS...are a hugely important part of what we want to be at Red Wolves For Christ. Because Jesus was a servent, we want to be, too. We work to support and serve organizations like Habitat For Humanity, Children's Homes Inc., and Christian Relief Fund.

MISSION TRIPS...take us to places close by, like Memphis, Dallas, St. Louis, or right here in Jonesboro. And sometimes they take us completely out of the country. Our main mission trip each year is with a ministry called Let's Start Talking.

TAILGATE PARTIES...help us support our football Red Wolves! We usually gather in "the pines" with all the other ASU tailgaters to show our team pride during Red Wolves home games in the fall. Here are some tailgating pics!
